I’ve been training, buying/ selling and coaching professionally since 1985.

During that time I’ve been fortunate enough to train some of the best horses in Canada and coach some of the best riders in our sport! You can check out some of our graduates on our 'Graduates' page. It’s been a blast!

With that being said the future looks even more exciting.  Along with our very successful pleasure horse/all around program, I’m looking forward to competing and coaching in the most exciting horse sport on the planet “Reining”.  2007 will be our first year of competing consistently.

I look forward to putting my many years of experience and knowledge to work for our clients.

Below is a brief history of our program.

Bill and Touched By Awesome with wife Tracy and children Kristy and Lucas winning the 3 year old Western Pleasure at the Ontario Breeders Futurity.

We established Rinzema Quarter Horses in 1985 where they worked out of a facility in Mount Albert for 2 years.

In 1987 I was approached to take over the training and management of Storm King Ranch. While under their supervision and management Storm King Ranch became one of the most successful Quarter Horse operations in Canada.

During this time the I were responsible for purchasing "Principle Investment" who went on to win the 1989 All American Quarter Horse Congress 2 year old snaffle bit and was the high money earning NSBA 2 year old.

After four successful years running Storm King Ranch, we re-established Rinzema Quarter Horses in 1991 in their current location of Keene, Ontario. The following year Bill and Dave Hickey put "Baywood Quarter Horses" together which was a syndicate that purchased the terrific young stallion "An Awesome Mister".

An Awesome Mister would go on in 1992 to win the Junior Western Pleasure at the Congress and also win the Western Pleasure Maturity. At the World Show An Awesome Mister placed third in Western Pleasure.

Around this young stallion a very successful breeding program was developed catapulting Mister onto all the leading sires lists in performance and halter. His offspring literally dominated many of the major futurity programs. In addition his get would often be the high sellers at the Congress and World Show sales.
In 1999 An Awesome Mister was sold at the AQHA World Show Sale for a record $227,000.00.

Currently, I am actively engaged in training futurity pleasure and reining horses, coaching youth and amateurs, riding lessons, auction sale preparation and buying and selling of higher quality show horses and prospects. I currently has in excess of $275,000 in pleasure futurity lifetime earnings.

My wife Tracy and I have 2 children; Kristy and Lucas who both show horses and help out around the farm. In September 2007 they are both off to college to pursue higher education.
